Every June, we take time to reflect on a cause that is deeply personal to the Round Pond Estate family — Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. This initiative carries special meaning for us, as we honor the memory of our founder and father, Bob MacDonnell, who we lost to Alzheimer’s disease in 2021.
In his name and spirit, we’ve dedicated the month of June to giving back. Each year, we donate 10% of proceeds from every bottle of our estate wines sold during the month to the Alzheimer’s Association®, supporting their mission to fund research, raise awareness, and provide critical support to families navigating this devastating disease.

Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia, affecting over 6 million Americans and more than 55 million people worldwide. It slowly robs individuals of their memory, independence, and identity — and touches the lives of everyone around them. Like so many families, we witnessed this firsthand. It’s a journey marked by courage, love, and loss — and one we’re committed to helping others face with more resources, more understanding, and more hope.
Since launching this initiative, Round Pond has raised $409,514 for the fight against Alzheimer’s — and this year, we’ve set an ambitious goal to reach $125,000 in 2025. With your support, we know it’s possible.
As part of our annual effort, we’ve curated a thoughtfully selected collection of wines to help drive even greater impact. This year’s offerings include rare library selections, large-format bottles, half-bottles, and one specially designed estate trio — all crafted to celebrate the beauty of memory and tradition. Every purchase from this collection directly contributes to the Alzheimer’s Association and the essential work they do.
We also invite guests to add a $5 donation to any online order at checkout. Every gift — no matter the size — helps bring us closer to a world without Alzheimer’s.
As a family-owned estate, we believe that wine has the power to bring people together, spark connection, and honor life’s most meaningful moments. Thank you for standing with us in this cause. Together, we raise a glass — to the past, to progress, and to the loved ones we hold dear.
