People, Place and Purpose

“People are everything.”

– Bob MacDonnell

Our Dad: Bob MacDonnell

Bob MacDonnell was an old fashioned kind of guy.  He believed in hard work, kindness, and taking care of your people.  He believed in giving back by investing in future generations. Dad, our hero and mentor, always put people first and would be the first to give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it.

Our Dad lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on May 18, 2021 and our family knows all too well how shattering it is to watch a loved one struggle with the disease.  We hope to honor the work that Dad started by giving back in a way we hope would make him proud; through the support of our Round Pond team, the promise to deliver our best every day to our customers, and the commitment to making the world a better place by fighting to end Alzheimer’s.

Join Us To Fight Alzheimer’s

We hope to honor Dad, and the 50 million people living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia worldwide by doing our part to bring awareness and funding to help find a cure.

Each November during National Family Caregiver Month, we are proud to donate a portion of proceeds from the sales of our Rutherford Estate wines to the Alzheimer’s Association®.* The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximize quality care and support.

We invite you to help us support this worthy cause by purchasing our Rutherford Estate Cabernet Sauvignon or Estate Sauvignon Blanc, either directly from us, or from a restaurant or wine shop near you, all through the month of November.

Join our family in the fight to end Alzheimer’s and make a donation today at www.alz.org/roundpond.
