Supporting Alzheimer’s Research and Funding

We hope to honor our Dad, and the 50 million people living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and all other neurological diseases worldwide by doing our part to bring awareness and funding to help find a cure.

“People are everything.”

– Bob MacDonnell

Our Dad: Bob MacDonnell

Round Pond Founder, Bob MacDonnell, was an old fashioned kind of guy.  He believed in hard work, kindness, and taking care of your people.  He believed in giving back by investing in future generations. Dad, our hero and mentor, always put people first and would be the first to give the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it.

Our Dad lost his battle with Alzheimer’s on May 18, 2021 and our family knows all too well how shattering it is to watch a loved one struggle with the disease.  We hope to honor the work that Dad started by giving back in a way we hope would make him proud; through the support of our Round Pond team, the promise to deliver our best every day to our customers, and the commitment to making the world a better place by fighting to end Alzheimer’s.

Support Efforts

Each November

Each November during National Family Caregiver Month, we are proud to donate 3% of the proceeds from all wine sales to the Alzheimer’s Association®. The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support. We invite you to help us support this worthy cause by purchasing our wines – either directly from us or from a restaurant or wine shop near you – throughout the month of November.

With your help, we have raised $62,500 for the Alzheimer's Association since 2021!

Honouren: A tribute to the fight

We are creating a Cabernet Sauvignon dedicated to all of those fighting and lost to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. It is a way to bring together community and raise vital funds for the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer’s doesn’t just take down the person who is fighting it individually, it requires family and caregivers and it’s an all encompassing effort. While more than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, this disease can make people feel so alone. Our goal is to support those individuals and families who are battling this disease and make them feel less alone.

We invite you to submit a photo of a loved one for inclusion on the label. This wine will be released in Fall 2023 and a percentage of all sales will be donated to causes dedicated to ending Alzheimer’s.

Community Support

Each fall we join our local Napa neighbors and participate in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. This event allows us to make an impact in our local community while continuing to show up and support all of the families around us who are dealing with this devastating disease. This three mile walk raises awareness in our community while also raising funds for research, this year alone the walk raised over $134,000 for this important cause.
