How to: Use an Ah-so

Using an ah-so wine opener is our preferred way to open wines aged more than ten years.

As the wine ages, so does the cork, making it more brittle and weak. Using a standard corkscrew increases the chances of the cork breaking or crumbling into the wine. While this does not make the wine undrinkable, it is pretty messy. That is why we recommend using a two-prong cork puller. Instead of being inserted directly into the cork, an ah-so has two asymmetrical long thin prongs that gently hug the cork on each side to extract it.

In this video, our membership manager, Christina Marsalek, breaks down how to use an ah-so wine opener.
