In tribute to our founder and those impacted in our Round Pond community, we created a special commemorative wine showcasing photos of those living with, or lost to, Alzheimer’s as our way of bringing together the community and raising vital funds for the fight. 50% of the proceeds from this wine are donated to organizations dedicated to the fight against Alzheimer’s.
From our sustainably-farmed Estate and award-winning winemakers Thomas Rivers Brown & Jeff Plant, this classic Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is bold and rich, full of deep, dark flavors and phenomenal structure.

Round Pond Estate will donate 25% of proceeds from each bottle of Honouren sold from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, to support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association and 25% of proceeds from each bottle of Honouren sold from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, to support the mission of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, with a minimum donation of $25,000.

Tasting Notes
A gorgeous Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine offers aromas of raspberry and cranberry with subtle notes of lavender. Deep ruby in the glass, beautiful flavors of strawberry, rhubarb, and dark cherry coat the palate with hints of cocoa and allspice. Elegant with great structure, the refined tannins lend great length to the well-balanced, delectable finish.
Vineyard Notes
The 2022 vintage was the third in a string of drought years. Despite the drought, there was well-timed Spring rain that boosted the vines’ vigor allowing for nicely established canopies for both shade and photosynthesis. The weather remained relatively mild and even, with routine fog patterns cooling nighttime and morning temperatures. At Labor Day, a significant heat wave impacted the entire Western States. At Round Pond, we sustained some heat damage but mostly came out unscathed thanks to our healthy vine canopies and overhead sprinklers. Round Pond’s “California sprawl” trellis systems provide excellent vine balance and diverse sun exposures.

Crafted from our late founder Bob MacDonnell's favorite block near Conn Creek, we're thrilled to showcase the terroir from this corner of our vineyard, with a well-drained seam of gravelly and sandy soils.
