2022 Growers Series Brut Rosé
“This wine has really fun aromatics with a matching palate of bright fruit, great acidity, and a clean, lingering finish.” – Jeff Plant, Estate Winemaker
Member Price: $60 – $71
Made in the Méthode Champenoise, this Brut Rosé is made from 100% Pinot Noir and was aged en tirage for 18 months before being disgorged. With bright, fruit filled aromatics, great acidity, and a clean, long finish, this is certain to be your go-to sparkling Rosé!
Tasting Notes
Bright fruit flavors of raspberry and Bing cherry are met with white floral notes and a hint of slivered almond. Wild strawberry mingles with a touch of Mandarin citrus peel, quince and crushed rose petal across the palate. The zippy acidity leads to a clean, long finish that highlights the beauty of the delicate fruit.
Vineyard Notes
The Pinot Noir for this sparkling wine comes from a sustainably farmed vineyard in the Russian River Valley where deep clay-based soil and the cooling coastal fog create ideal growing conditions. After being hand-picked, the grapes were delicately pressed, discarding the juice at the beginning and end of pressing and only keeping the quality juice pressed in the middle. This pressing method helps to retain acid and promotes a secondary fermentation that produces the quality effervescence of high-end sparkling wine. Made in the Méthode Champenoise, the wine aged en tirage for 18 months before being disgorged, where it received a dosage of 8 g/L to add to its complexity and balance.
Winemaker Notes
"We employ an exceptionally delicate pressing method to preserve the fruit's acidity and freshness, resulting in small, resilient bubbles. This wine has really fun aromatics with a matching palate of bright fruit, great acidity, and a clean, lingering finish." - Jeff Plant, Estate Winemaker
