1.5L Bottle
A special offering from our sister brand, Kith & Kin Cellars, this is one of our most sought-after vintages of this Napa Valley Cabernet. Kith & Kin, Old English for “Friends & Family”, is a Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from all corners of the Napa Valley but with its heart rooted in Rutherford. This wine offers well-balanced tannins and a fruit-forward character.
Accolades
“A winner, offering a charming mix of smoky oak, pure ripe dark berry, spice and cedar flavors, with an appealing texture...” - James Laube, Wine Spectator
8 Stellar Napa Cabernets - Wine Spectator
Tasting Notes
Opening with aromatics of vanilla, ripe black cherry, and cassis, this wine maintains its focus with nicely integrated tannins that deliver explosive flavors of blackberry jam and dried cranberries. The finish is harmonious and lingers with a kiss of floral essence balanced with an exciting menagerie of dried savory spices.
Vineyard Notes
Touted as another stellar vintage from the Napa Valley, our 2016 Kith & Kin Cabernet was hand-harvested in early October, and the resulting wine has explosive flavors, great balance, and ripe, granular tannins that don’t bite. Although bud break in Napa Valley was early in 2016, it was an all-around cooler growing season. Without the normal heat spikes in July and August, the fruit was able to hang longer on the vine and ripen more uniformly, helping to concentrate flavors.
