2014 Proprietary Left Bank 1.5L
Member Price: $180 – $214
With beautiful balance and elegant texture, this vintage is complex with tons of earth and dark fruit notes along with nice pure fruit expression. The nose is full of bright red berries, black cherry, and dark chocolate. Complex tones of earth and dark fruit come through immediately, and an entry of raspberry glides into the palate followed by notes of boysenberry, plum, and cassis. The finish floats in, showing darker tones of leather, sage, and spice. Its texture is beautifully balanced with a soft velvet mouthfeel right from the start to a finish that lingers.
61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot | 15 cases produced

"Offering up crème de cassis, blackberry and floral notes as well as fullbodied opulence, this impressive beauty...is actually elegant, without a trace of heat. Drink it over the next 15 years."
Vineyard Notes
A key word for the 2014 vintage was early; early bud break, early veraison, and early harvest. Very warm conditions during spring and several well-timed rain showers brought about an early bud break. The result was very healthy vines leading into flowering and fruit set. The continued warm and dry weather throughout the summer and fall months led to the perfect amount of vine stress, allowing the fruit to profit from longer hang-time and to develop more concentrated flavors.
