2010 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Member Price: $156 – $185
93 pts – Wine Advocate, this wine brings together the best qualities of this site and the vintage. “Dark raspberries, flowers, spices, and licorice are all wrap together in this silky Cabernet Sauvignon.”
A classic example of Rutherford Cabernet with the volume set to eleven…deep, dark, and complex. A floral nose entices you with rose petal, sage, violet, cassis, clove, and finishes with the familiar dusty earth quality synonymous with Rutherford. The body remains thick and round on the palate with tannins resembling suede. The syrupy richness is balanced perfectly with natural fruit acidity which completes the experience leaving you with memories of stewed cherry and toasted almond.
Varietals: 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Petit Verdot

Vineyard Notes
In the 2010 vintage, to help counter nature’s challenging offerings, we dropped all late developing clusters and focused the efforts of the vine on the remaining fruit, sacrificing quantity for quality. A late heat spike brought the fruit to full ripeness. Individual lots from specific vineyard blocks were fermented and aged separately to allow the broadest range of flavors at blending. All lots received extended maceration with pump overs and aged 19 months in 70% new tight grain French oak.
