This bold 2010 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon awakens the senses with lush boysenberry aromatics of cacao, tapioca, vanilla, and baked cherry. Inviting and robust qualities of brier, lilac, and thyme create a balanced palate reminiscent of old-world wines. The wine leads with notes of cherry and stewed rhubarb, then deepens with flavors of anise, ginger, toasted almonds, and caramel. Boastful tannins and a savory character maintain the full body, complexity, and balance that are indicative of wine ready to drink now or age gracefully.

Even though highly expressive, Round Pond strives to make this a balanced wine, one that is ripe but not excessively high in alcohol.
