Vineyard Notes
In particular, the 2009 vintage was mild and a relatively cool growing season. Late spring rains delayed irrigation needs and the warm spell in June helped curtail excessive canopy development. Summer showed only a few triple-digit temperatures, helping to ensure a comfortable growing season. Individual lots from specific vineyard blocks were fermented and aged separately to allow the broadest range of flavors at blending.
