Round Pond Estate Mustard
Round Pond Mustard

1pt whole grain mustard

1c dijon mustard

1/4c apple cider vinegar

1/8c Round Pond Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Vinegar

1/4c honey

2 tbsp cracked black pepper

1 tsp Round Pond Chili Infused Olive Oil

1 tsp salt

  1. Mix all ingredients in a medium size mixing bowl with a whisk. Taste for seasoning.
  2. Store in refrigerator for future use.
Roasted Pickled Beets
Preparation of kvass - fermented red beets, in a glass jar

5lbs red or golden beets
1c Round Pond Italian Varietal Olive Oil
1ea bunch rosemary
1ea bunch thyme
5 sticks toasted cinnamon (break into pieces after toasting)

Salt, sugar, black pepper to taste
1lb Butter
2c Round Pond Sauvignon Blanc White Wine Vinegar
1c honey
1/4c water

  1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees
  2. Rinse off beets with cold water and place them on a square of aluminum (large enough to wrap each individual beet or several if they are smaller). Keep residual water on beets.
  3. Once the beet is on the aluminum, add 1 sprig of thyme, 1 sprig of rosemary, 2-3 small pieces of toasted cinnamon, a tbsp of butter, a tsp of Round Pond Italian varietal olive oil, and a pinch of sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Once all seasoning has been added, wrap your beets tightly in the aluminum and place on a sheet tray and into the hot oven. Depending on the size of your beets, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
  5. Once beets are tender to the touch, let them cool off slightly and peel with gloves on while still warm. (save any excess liquid in the aluminum strain and reserve)
  6. Mix your vinegar, honey, water, and reserved beet liquid into a small pot and bring to a simmer while whisking. Turn off heat and reserve warm.
  7. Slice beets to desired eating size and place into semi-warm liquid mixture then place in refrigerator. Once cooled, they are ready to be enjoyed!

2019 Eric Bovet Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
Eric Bovet Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Bottle Image

Member Price: $120-$143

100% Cabernet Sauvignon | Oakville

This wine, sourced entirely from our MBar Ranch Oakville vineyard, showcases the excellent balance of the Cabernet Sauvignon varietal with the unique microclimate, soil, and terroir of MBar Ranch. Stylistically, this wine offers elegance and depth with red fruit balanced by herbal and earth notes and an exceptionally long finish.

94 points, Jeb Dunnuck

“The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Eric Bovet comes from the M-Bar Ranch and is another medium to full-bodied, classy, balanced wine from Round Pound…it shows plenty of fruit yet there’s an almost old school vibe as well. Cassis, blueberries, irone, crushed stone, and spicy oak give way to a nicely balanced, layered 2019 that’s already a joy to drink.” – Jeb Dunnuck

2021 Estate Sauvignon Blanc
Round Pond Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Sold out

Member Pricing: $24 – $28

This wine is focused on purity of fruit; it is a flip book of the varietal as it ripens on our Rutherford estate. We capture different snapshots of the grape’s character by making multiple picking passes during harvest. This provides the wine with complex layers of fruit starting with zesty citrus, moving to stone fruits, progressing to melons, and finishing with a hint of exotic tropical fruits. Each of these aromatic profiles represents the different ripeness levels at which the clusters were picked.

2019 Proprietary Cabernet Franc

Sold out

Member Pricing: $79 – $94

This highly limited Cabernet Franc is a serious wine with a strong sense of place. Varietally true, this medium-bodied Cabernet Franc expresses its truly distinctive personality and outstanding flavor.

2019 Proprietary Syrah

Sold out

Member Price: $66 – $74

This single-varietal Syrah is fruit-forward with dark, rich flavors of blueberry and plum with notes of earth and spice leading to a long, lingering finish.

2017 Proprietary Red Wine

Sold out

Member Pricing: $70-$84

This wine is a mélange of Cabernet Sauvignon with other varietals that thrive here on our Rutherford Estate. The varietal composition changes each year, but the fruit-forward and complex nature of this special wine remains consistent.

2019 Proprietary Petit Verdot

Sold out

A classic Bordeaux and Medoc region varietal, Petit Verdot grows very well on our Rutherford estate. We reserve the most unique and promising of our small Petit Verdot lots for select single-varietal bottlings that give this alluring varietal its due.

2019 Proprietary Right Bank Blend

Member Price: $88 – $105

Our Right Bank Blend is alluring and captivating, much like its compatriots in Bordeaux. Showcasing the small selection of Cabernet Franc planted on the estate together with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this small-lot blend has resulted in a supple, smooth, rich wine with silky, lengthy tannins.

Tasting Notes

Sourced entirely from the gravel streaks at Round Pond, this unique red wine blend is perfumed and spicy, offering an elegant reflection of our Rutherford Estate. The aroma is savory with notes of roasted pepper, grilled bread, and game meats. As it opens up, dark fruit comes through on the nose with hints of tobacco spice and black cherry unfolding. This is a rich, concentrated and powerful wine with dark fruit, plum, espresso and vanilla custard that leaps out of the glass.

2019 Proprietary White Wine
Round Pond Proprietary White Wine

Sold out

Member Price: $36-$43

A dynamic blend of Viognier and Semillon, the Proprietary White Wine is an expression of fruit and balance, representing a wine rich with aromatics and flavor while clean and bright upon the palate.

2019 Proprietary Nebbiolo
Round Pond Proprietary Nebbiolo

Sold out

The mother grape to such revered wines as Barolo and Barbaresco, Nebbiolo finds its Californian personality here in the vineyards of Round Pond. Filled with flavors of cherry, spice, caramel, and dried fruit, this varietal was Patriarch Bob MacDonnell’s favorite varietal and the main reason we grow this very unique grape.

2019 Proprietary Merlot
Round Pond Proprietary Merlot

Sold out

Member Price: $62 – $74

This newest wine from our Estate highlights Merlot as a single varietal rather than a part of a blend. Sourced from two blocks on our estate, it is planted in a classic sprawl trellis system allowing nice, dappled light for even ripening. This limited edition wine is only produced in specific years when the winemaker feels it best highlights the unique profile of Merlot.

2019 Proprietary Petite Sirah

Member Price: $71 – $84

Savory tones of thyme, sweet strawberry, and a hint of allspice are present on the nose. A graceful entry of gypsy plum and young blackberries builds to a lovely mid-palate of dusty cocoa. Lively acidity and youthful tannins drive the earthy finish with notes of smoke, dried lavender, spice, and blueberries.

Our Mission

Join us to fight Alzheimer’s!

Our Dad and founder, Bob MacDonnell, believed in hard work, kindness and caring for your people. While Dad lost his battle with Alzheimer’s last year, we hope to honor Dad and the 50 million people living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia worldwide by doing our part to bring awareness and funding to help find a cure. This November, we are donating 3% of the proceeds from all wines sold directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.

In September we participated in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s with our team, friends, and family. The Napa Valley walk raised over $134,000 and we are grateful that we could participate in a great event for a fantastic cause.

In tribute to our father and those impacted in our Round Pond community, we are creating a Cabernet Sauvignon dedicated to all of those fighting and lost to Alzheimer’s Disease and dementia. It is a way to bring together community and raise vital funds for the fight to end Alzheimer’s. The label will honor those affected by showcasing their photos on the label in a collage to honor their lives and legacy.

If you or someone close to you has been affected by Alzheimer’s Disease, please share your story with us and submit a photo of your loved one to be included on the label. Learn more about Honouren
