Wine Spectator Review: "A tremendous effort, dense and chewy, robust and concentrated with a rich, focused core of blackberry, currant, cedar, herb and mineral. Full-bodied, gaining depth and persistence. Drink now through 2018." —J.L.
Winemaker Notes:
The 2007 harvest was a one with a bunch, no pun intended, of “firsts” for Round Pond. It was the first vintage that Round Pond produced at the newly built Estate Winery. It was also my first harvest as a member of the Round Pond family and my first at the helm of a winemaking team. I had two harvest interns that year who were working their first crush, one of whom was Miles MacDonnell one of the owners of Round Pond. To honor all of these “firsts” we had t-shirts printed with the very appt theme: “You always remember your first Crush.”
